Montes Eliseos is a beautiful coffee farm from the mid-nineteenth century dedicated for a long time to the production and export of the best coffee in the southern coast of Guatemala.
It used to be visited by tourists who were continually charmed by nature and the history of the environment. This flourished the idea of making it a an eco-lodge that would provide comfort to those tourists and through that tourism we would be able to manage new ways of generating income to the local community of San Antonio Cantón Barrios.
This is how in 2005, Takalik Maya Lodge was born, a touristic destination, a beautiful and romantic place that has hosted thousands of national and international tourists. ¡Come and experience Takalik!
